1. Who We Are

Musical Prodigies Educational Services (MPES) is an online music education company based in Jamaica. We provide private one-on-one music lessons to students across Jamaica, the Caribbean, the United States, and Canada. Our services are delivered primarily online via Google Meet, with in-person home and location visits available in Spanish Town, Portmore, and Kingston, Jamaica. 2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following ways:

When you enroll or register: Your full name, WhatsApp number, email address, age group, instrument(s) of interest, preferred lesson days and times, and lesson format (online or in-person).

When you contact us: Your name, contact details, and the content of your message.

When you use the Student Hub: Your access level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced), session usage, and any forms you submit (reschedule requests, referrals, absence notifications).

Payment information: We do not collect or store payment card data directly. All online card payments are processed securely through Fygaro. For bank transfers, we receive only the transfer confirmation you send us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Schedule, confirm, and deliver your music lessons
  • Communicate with you about your enrollment, payments, and lesson updates
  • Process payment confirmations and issue receipts
  • Provide access to the Student Hub and its resources
  • Send lesson reminders, scheduling changes, and policy updates
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • Improve the quality and delivery of our services
  • Comply with any applicable legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Communication Channels

MPES communicates with students and families primarily through WhatsApp and email. By providing your contact details during enrollment, you consent to receive lesson-related communications through these channels.

You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp at +1 (876) 436-8207 or emailing us at admin@musicalprodigiesja.com. Opting out of lesson reminders or scheduling communications may affect your ability to receive timely lesson information.

5. Google Services

MPES uses the following Google tools to deliver lessons and manage class resources:

  • Google Meet — for conducting all online lessons
  • Google Classroom — for sharing assignments, resources, and instructor notes

When you use these services, your interactions are also subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing Google’s policies to understand how your data is handled within their platforms.

6. Student Hub & Access Codes

The MPES Student Hub is a private, password-protected section of our website. Access is granted through a level-specific code provided by your MPES administrator. The three access levels are Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Session data (your login state and level) is stored in your browser’s session storage only — it is never sent to any external server and is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab.

Forms submitted through the Student Hub (reschedule requests, absence notifications, referral submissions) are sent directly to MPES via WhatsApp. No form data is stored on our website servers.

7. Cookies & Tracking

Our website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use cookies to track your activity across other websites.

The only browser storage we use is session storage within the Student Hub to maintain your login state during an active session. This data is local to your device and is cleared automatically when you close the tab.

8. Children’s Privacy

MPES welcomes students from age 5 and up. For students under the age of 18, we require a parent or guardian to complete the enrollment process and to be the primary contact for all communications.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. All online lessons for students under 18 are conducted with a camera-on policy via Google Meet, and a parent or guardian is welcome to be present at any time. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without consent, please contact us immediately at admin@musicalprodigiesja.com.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you are an active student with MPES, and for a reasonable period after your last lesson for administrative and record-keeping purposes.

Payment records and enrollment history may be retained for longer periods as required by applicable financial and business regulations. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
  • Objection — object to how we are using your information
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format

11. Third-Party Services

MPES uses the following third-party services in the delivery of our platform. Each is subject to its own privacy policy:

  • Fygaro — online payment processing for card payments
  • Google Meet & Google Classroom — lesson delivery and class management
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — primary communication and form submission channel
  • Netlify — website hosting

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
